If anyone can think of galleries or other locations/people that we should give out cards to, please make a comment and then make it happen. Let me know where you will take cards to so we don’t all go to the same places. I’ve already put some at Sam Flax.
Thanks!

I can’t vouch for this, but I just came across it on a Flickr group and it might be something.
“I’m a new photo editor with the Atlantan Magazine. I’m based in Chicago so I don’t really know the Atlanta photo talent market. My mission is to discover bright photographic talent there in Atlanta. I’m really looking for artists with fresh editorial vision who can really push the envelope with stunning imagery. If anyone is interested in showing me some work and possibly shooting for our publication, please feel free to contact me. My email is photo_editor2@modernluxury.com. Thanks!

Saturday Night Suggestion
Hey folks,
I got an e-mail from a fellow Atlanta-area photo student that I’d like to share an excerpt from for your feedback:
“…I wanted to invite you and the SCAD photo people to an opening tomorrow [Saturday] night. The ExLucis people [Georgia State’s photoawesome equivalent] are showing work at Composition Gallery in Little 5/Chandler Park area. The reception is tomorrow from 7-10 pm. If you can’t make the opening its up for awhile. I think a month or longer. Anyway, good for you guys for doing such interesting stuff about town. I feel like I know you already from watching all those videos on Utube…”
Apparently we met some Georgia State people in Miami, and now we have the opportunity to go meet some more local photography students. I think we should work it into our night, since we’ll already be close at the Beep Beep opening. Whaddya’ say?
4 commentsSolomon / Stokes Art Walk
This Friday, we’ll be attending the openings at both Solomon Projects and Gallery Stokes. Meet at SCAD at 7pm, and head straight to Solomon Projects. Then to Castleberry Hill for the art walk and Gallery Stokes opening.
Beep Beep gallery on Saturday, too. Dunno what time yet.

Asking $600 obo all real offers are welcomed….and i am also willing to part with pieces as well!
Thanks in advance for any and all help towards a new home for my Hassy,
2 commentsDefoor Deadline Approaching
Friday is the deadline to submit CD’s for the Defoor Centre show. There is no good reason not to submit, you can submit any style of work. It’s a great opportunity to get your work in front of an important atlanta curator. So put together the CD and drop it off in the inkjet lab by Friday night. The submission guidelines are in the previous post. If you do plan to submit, I am also asking for $5 to help pay for show cards. Contact me with questions.

No commentsDefoor Card Costs

Hey folks,
Even though there isn’t a cost for submitting work for the Defoor show doesn’t mean there aren’t costs otherwise. So we’re asking that everyone submitting work also submit $5 in order to cover the costs. If you’re in the Photo Arts Black & White Craft class on Tuesday, please come prepared to surrender $5 in cash to Mr. Kyle Petersen. If we don’t collect at least $100 up front, we won’t be able to order the cards.
Image for Defoor Postcards
I need everyone who is interested to send me ONE jpeg image for consideration on the Defoor show postcard. Send them to me by Thursday Night in order to be considered. I will then have Mark from Mason Murer select which image will be used. Walker is going to work on the design and get it printed. Sorry for all the short notice, I just want to get the cards in as soon as possible. Email them to kyle@kylepetersen.com. Gracias.
