Need a desk?
I am moving out in a few days, and I have a nice desk available if someone needs one. You can have it for free if you can pick it up from my apartment. Its about 3 feet high and 4 feet wide, lots of drawers, all dark wood. If you want it you will have to get it by sunday. Let me know if you are interested.

No commentsThe beginning of the end

You might think this post is about graduation or something pertaining to the end of another chapter in PhotoAwesome history but no, it’s about robots and monkeys. This article on CNN clearly points out that soon the world will be overrun by monkey controlled robots. My advice to you is get your robot insurance and pray that John Connor can save us from the armies of robot monkey terminators.
2 commentsFREE MUSIC and GOOD TIMES!!

Today there’s a great opportunity to hear some great live music downtown in Centennial Park. Souther Comfort is sponsoring the event and the best part is it’s all free!! The only catch is you have to be 21, so if you are come on down and meet up with Kyle and I. Some bands of interest are Against Me! and Austins finest Ghostland Observatory. Both of these bands have been featured in multiple Ninja Dave podcasts so needless to say they rock. The event starts at 3pm, hope to see you campers there.

1 commentHouse Party (not the movie)

What: A party.
When: Saturday April 26th - beginning at 9pm-ish
Where: House @ 1057 Faith Ave, Atlanta. Directions from L5P are as follows: South on Moreland, right on Faith Ave. (it’s the first light after Moreland crosses over I-20), house is towards the bottom of the hill, on the left, and is yellow with brown trim.
Who: Hosted by Chad Noellert, Jason Kofke, and Katie Falkenberg (residents of said house).
Why: Loosely, a move-in party… more specifically we are simply trying to motivate many people to show up in the same place at the same time for the enjoyment of all.
The nitty-gritty: Party is totally open-invitation, all are welcome, and all are encouraged to spread the word. They will likely be one keg (no charge for beer, but small donations always appreciated), but guests are encouraged to B.Y.O.B. Large front yard, large back porch, indoors as well. Depending on turnout/feedback may become an occasionally recurring event.

I found this and, although it has nothing to do with photography, will make you laugh during the last few days of final reviews.
No commentsLITTLE FIVE POINTS Apartment for RENT!

2 commentsCaught by the Fuzz?
Hello All,
I just found this “Vacation” package where you can pretend you are a Mexican and act like you are illegally crossing a pretend border. Yea… Anyone else see a problem in this? This kink of thing rides that line of kinda awesome, but really not so much at all.
Here’s part of the article.
Run from the Fuzz and Avoid the Slammer
In this issue:
If you’ve always wanted to live your life on the edge and are tempted to push the travel boundaries just enough to cause a little commotion, it’s never too late. Pack your bags and start alluding now about your double life; you’re going on a semi-illegal vacation.
The, four-hour night hike starts with the Mexico National Anthem. Your ‘coyote’ guide, Pancho, pulls off his black ski mask while actors gather around to scare you senseless along the way. Run from border control agents; dodge hidden actors shooting (blanks) at you, and make your way through barbed-wire fences. Survivors are blindfolded, led across a rickety bridge, and then set free to run across the border to freedom!
So yea, I’m offended and embarrassed. Although it would be pretty great to send some chosen government officials on this lovely vacation (minus the blanks). After all, apathy is always the answer.
Thanks for reading,
Robert
2 commentsTonight: There Will Be Blood
Here’s an open invite to anyone who’d like to see “There Will Be Blood”, starring the awesome Daniel Day-Lewis, tonight at 10pm at the UA Tara. We should go eat before that, of course. Dinner around 8pm. Any suggestions? Call me with questions.
UPDATE: I think we should eat at the Taqueria del Sol on Cheshire Bridge. It’s probably less than a mile from the theater and has better service than the location on Howell Mill. Sound good?
UPDATE to the UPDATE: It was pretty good.

Ponder.

And FYI it’s “a comprehensive conception or apprehension of the world especially from a specific standpoint.” (I didn’t know what Weltanschauung meant either.)
