Are a lot of the artists who art-up these boards skateboarders?
I’m not sure if any of you are actually interested in skateboard art, but there is a lot written about it. The book, “Disposable: The History of Skateboard Art,” is a pretty good one to start with. Appropriate title, when I consider that I can fondly remember a lot of my old board graphics, even though they are completely indecipherable/destroyed now.
Another must see/view, is one of my favorite short documentaries, “Deformer.” Starring Professional skateboarder and visual artist, Ed Templeton. So good.
