I’ve been following Make magazine online lately. They have some really cool/fun/interesting/useful projects and how-tos. Plus a lot of robots.

Today they posted a link to a pdf on how to turn your flatbed scanner into a camera. There’s also a video “weekend project” how-to going over the camera construction. If you get to building this before I do, I wanna see it!

Excellent meeting you this weekend Jason! I bookmarked that scanner article last week and am excited to show it to my students. We have a scan-back camera, but I have yet to see anyone use it as freely and playfully as this article did. Good luck building one, I’ll send pics if I get something going soon.
