Hey, you all should go to The Opal Gallery on June 20, 6-9 p.m. for the opening of Carl Martin: 1986-2007. Carl taught me color photography sometime in the last century at a lil ol school on up the road a ways. He appears to have maintained his handle on the vernacular Southern image. He’s also a bang up portraitist and an all around good guy.

I’ll be bringing a camera if somebody would like to help with a video interview for Art Relish.

    Man, I’d love to be there, but Stacy and I will be visiting Chicago.

    Well, scratch that… our plans changed, and we’ll be in Chicago a week or two later, so we should be able to make it to this opening.
